Pag. 3-11 Enkele interessante of minder bekende Heterobasidiomyceten uit Vlaanderen VAN DE PUT K.

Some interesting or lesser known Heterobasidiomycetes from Flanders are presented: Achroomyces insignis Hauerslev, parasitic in Myxarium subhyalinum; Renatobasidium notabile Hauerslev with repetobasidia; Microsebacina microbasidia (Hauerslev) P. Roberts; Tremella versicolor Berk. & Broome, in the imperfect state a not uncommon parasitic fungus on Peniophora cinerea, rarely producing subfertile basidia; Occultifur internus (Olive) Oberw., an auricularioid parasite in Dacrymyces, also rarely found in his basidial state; Syzygospora pallida Hauerslev, a parasite on Phanerochaete sordida; Sirotrema sp. (arrhytidiae nom. prov.), a Sirotrema species found parasitic in Dacrymyces capitatus f. cerebri¬formis, the other members of the genus being described para¬sitising on Hypodermataceae. Furthermore, a collection of Dacrymyces ovisporus Bref. is reported from France (La Clusaz, 1993).

Pag. 11-12 Twee zeldzame Agaricales gevonden in België WALLEYN R.

Squamanita odorata is reported as new for the Belgian mycoflora. Furthermore, a second locality of Psilocybe tuberosa (Redh. & Kroeger) comb. nov. is given. [both with coloured photographs]

Pag. 13-31 Identificatie en gastheerspectrum van het genus Laboulbenia in België (Ascomycetes, Laboulbeniales) DE KESEL A.

A preliminary identification key, based on the parasite morphology of 35 Belgian Laboulbenia species is given. Fourteen species are reported new to the Belgian mycoflora. Laboulbenia hyalopoda De Kesel spec. nov., from Dromius linearis (Coleoptera, Carabidae), is described. An extensive parasite-host list with information concerning the parasite (first record in Belgium), its host (systematics, habitat, ecology) as well as the host range is given. A glossarium is given, all parasite species are illustrated. An alternative to Amann’s mounting medium is given.

Pag. 32-35 Clitopilus amarus nov. spec., een bittere Molenaar DE HAAN A.

Clitopilus amarus nov. spec. is described and illustrated with macro- and microscopical drawings. Macroscopically it resembles Clitocybe phyllophila, but the crowded, arcuate, deeply decurrent gills; the pale pink-brown spores, with 6 longitudinal, weakly prononced ridges and the lack of clamps in all tissues places it into the genus Clitopilus. Its features do not agree with those from the known European, American and tropical congeneric taxa. Clitopilus prunulus (Scop.: Fr.) Kumm. differs from C. amarus by the strong mealy odor and taste and the long, slender spores, with strongly accentuated longitudinal ridges. Clitopilus apalus (Berk. & Br.) Petch, a tropical species, differs by a deep umbilicate cap and tear-shaped spores with strongly prononced ridges. Clitopilus amarus takes an intermediate position between the sections Clitopilus Sing. and Scyphoides Sing. by the rather large carpophores and the small, poorly ornamented spores.

The species was found three times (1996, 1997 and 1998) at the same location and once (1998) in an area aproximately 20 m away from the original locality. The name refers to the the very bitter taste of the flesh.

Pag. 36-40 Nieuwe of zeldzame myxomyceten voor België: Cribraria paucicostata Nann.-Brem. & Physarum pusillum (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) G. Lister DE HAAN M.

Two rare species of Myxomycetes, Cribraria paucicostata Nann.-Brem. and Physarum pusillum (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) G. Lister, are described with color drawings of the macroscopical and microscopical features. The second record of Cribraria paucicostata Nann.-Brem. since its original find in 1969, was made on the 10th of May 1998 in the military domain « Groot Schietveld » (Brecht, Province of Antwerp). This Cribraria-species (Cribrariaceae, Myxomycetes) is small, 0,3-0,9 mm total height and 0,05-0,2 mm sporocarp diam., but it has very distinct features. The most important one is the peridium which leaves 3 to 8 broad ribs, incrusted with dark pruplish-brown dictydine granules. Mostly these ribs do not branch, but at some points at the top of the sporocarp they narrow to threads and broaden again, thus forming a loose net with nodes.

Pag. 41-48 Baardige melkzwammen, Lactarius sect. Piperites en subsect. Scrobiculati, in België VERBEKEN A., FRAITURE A. & WALLEYN R.

The genus Lactarius, section Piperites Fr. is represented in Belgium by Lactarius pubescens, L. torminosus and L. spinosulus. L. scrobiculatus, L. citriolens and L. aquizonatus are the Belgian representatives of the subsection Scrobiculati Hesler & A.H. Sm. (in section Zonarii Quél.). Both groups are characterized by the tomentose, hairy or bearded margin and therefore treated together as the ‘beardy milkcaps’. A key to these species is given, together with illustrations of their diagnostic microscopic characters, their ecology in Belgium and distribution maps of the rare taxa. The systematic position of Lactarius spinosulus and the distribution of L. aquizonatus in Europe are discussed.
