ZELDZAME EN MISKENDE RUSSULA’S IN VLAANDEREN (5) – RUSSULA ROSEICOLOR EN R. DECIPIENS

RUBEN WALLEYN (†)1 & GUIDO LE JEUNE2

Summary

Russula roseicolor and R. decipiens are described from collections from Flanders (northern Belgium). Their ecology, distribution and status in this region is discussed. R. roseicolor is a very rare species, only known with certainty from 1 site, where it grows in grassy, open forest lanes with Quercus robur. Russula decipiens is a rare, vulnerable species associated with Quercus (Q. robur, rarely Q. rubra), most often on sunny places in roadsides on not too poor sandy loam or loam. In several collections the dermatocystida are less voluminous, more slender and more often 1(-2) septate then described by Sarnari (1998), fitting better the concept of Keizer & Arnolds (1995) or R. britzelmayri ss. Reumaux (1996). However, we believe that the material in this region belongs to a single variable species.

Inleiding

MYCENA RHENANA VERSUS MYCENA CECIDIOPHILA

LEO NOTEN & LUCRÈSE VANNIEUWERBURGH

Summary

A thorough study of several collections of both Mycena cecidiophila and Mycena rhenana revealed that none of the distinctive characters is exclusively connected to either one of the species. This led to the conclusion that both species are conspecific and that only one can remain: Mycena rhenana. It also implied that this species not only grows on Alnus glutinosa, but also on various other substrates. A full description, as well as microscopical drawings and photographs, are given.

PSATHYRELLA OBSCUROTRISTIS ENDERLE & M. WILH.

RUBEN WALLEYN (†) & JOS VOLDERS

Abstract

Two records from northern Belgium are given of Psathyrella obscurotristis: one on Fagus, one on Quercus wood. This species, presumably not recorded since its description, seems well characterised by its lignicolous habit, small ovoid spores lacking a germ pore, and rostrate pleurocystidia.
